Why is My Case Going to the Grand Jury?
Okay, if a judge says, ‘I’m going to send your case to the grand jury,’ what does this mean? I visited court on the 27 /02 /2023 awaiting trial but I end up being subjected to many postponements. They have also been urging me to take a plea bargain as well also giving me technical assistance. In my last trial, the judge proposed a deal that did not include community service or anger management, but I refused since I do not wish to be guilty of an offense of disorderly conduct even if it is categorized as a minor crime. Now, after rejecting the offer, the judge has halted the case and have referred to the case being taken to the grand jury. So what am I going to do to help my case? Is this an effort to scare me into taking the plea?

How long can I reside in New Jersey without having to become a registered sex offender?
I want to know how I can notify the Florida authorities about my plans to travel. I am planning my trip to New Jersey and wish to learn more about the rules concerning sex offenders. Hi there, I am a 19 year old student who was recently arrested for the possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. In my particular case should I go and seek a lawyer and is the conditional discharge a good enough for me option?
I procured approximately one and a half gram of Marijuana along with a mason jar and cardboard tube used for dryer sheets, that’s why charge was filed for possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia. I never had any arrests before, this is the first time I’m violating the law. I know that there is such a thing as conditional discharge but I am yet to be convicted so I am not sure if this is good for me. I also do not know if one has to hire a I also do not know if one has to hire a criminal defense lawyer to take the legal route, and if so, how much it would cost as a college student. Under such circumstances I am confused as to how to proceed and if a lawyer is needed to protect what’s to come in the future.
