Attorney Joseph D. Lento, the founder of the Lento Law Firm, stands up when the bell rings - devoting himself to achieving results for clients nationwide in cases where the stakes are high.  As a veteran of one of the nation's highest stakes court systems, he has spent close to 20 years passionately advocating for clients and others in his charge both as an attorney and in other capacities and has obtained great outcomes on their behalf often in the face of long odds.  As an attorney, he learned the practice of law in the trenches, dedicating himself to finding solutions to clients' matters both in and out of the courtroom. At times, a client's matter can be resolved diplomatically, and Mr. Lento is a skillful negotiator. At other times, resolving a client's matter requires Mr. Lento to drive hard, and he does not back down in the face of adversity no matter how difficult the challenge may seem!

Mr. Lento is a highly experienced attorney who goes the distance and gets results for his clients that speak for themselves.  Whether a client’s case involves Title IX, school-related issues, and education law; professional license defense; criminal charges; family law; or is facing any kind of injustice, Mr. Lento works closely with each individual client to customize his or her case strategy or defense. Mr. Lento, a Philadelphia native, earned his bachelor's degree in political science and business from Villanova University before graduating with his juris doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law.  Acceptance into the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidates School and working full-time while earning his law degree are accomplishments that Mr. Lento is also proud.  Mr. Lento threw his hat in the ring the day he graduated from law school and he began practicing law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and later New York.  He learned what it takes to win from a legend among Philadelphia criminal defense attorneys, and Mr. Lento understands that when his clients come to him for help, they are often facing one of their most difficult times in life. Knowing that life is not always easy, Mr. Lento take clients' concerns personally, and he is only satisfied when a client is satisfied. Success is often hard-fought, and Mr. Lento wouldn't expect it to be any other way. 

Mr. Lento established the Lento Law Firm, through which he represents and defends his clients with fortitude and perseverance.  Mr. Lento is one of the most experienced attorneys in the United States in cases involving Title IX matters and other school-related issues and concerns affecting undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, K-12 students, and college and university professors, faculty, employees, and staff.  Across the nation, he has represented countless students, professors and employees, and others involved in higher education and academia for education law related matters including all aspects of Title IX law (sexual misconduct allegations and charges, discrimination under Title IX, and related concerns), academic misconduct, academic issues, appeals of actions taken by colleges and universities, dismissals, and college and university discrimination and employment-related concerns.  Understanding that students' and others' academic and professional careers are on the line, Mr. Lento established a nationwide practice to address school-related injustice, and through many years of hard-fought rounds on behalf of his clients, he is preeminent in the field. 

Mr. Lento is highly experienced in professional license defense and he and his expert team have helped professional license holders - including medical doctors, nurses, educators, and countless others - overcome professional license issues and concerns across the United States.

Mr. Lento has represented thousands of clients with criminal charges including, but not limited to, sexual assault and rape, domestic violence and assault, DUI/drunk driving, drug charges, and weapon charges, in addition to those seeking criminal record relief.
