Can published trivia questions be classified as within fair use or can they even infringe on copyright?
I am creating a software trivia game for computers and iPhones and wanted to verify that I didn’t use any copyrighted material. I have two main concerns that is If there is an already published trivia game, and these questions are contained therein does the publisher hold any copyright claim over such questions? And Considering the questions about movies, celebrities, any business or government official as examples of questions, do they then come within the term fair use? I have to be aware of how far one can go with the rights granted by copyright law in this regard so that I do not end up crossing the line.
